Singing a cappella close-harmony is easier than it might seem. The range covered by each voice part isn't enormous and we don't insist that you sight-read from the music, in fact many of our members don't read music at all. It does take practice and there is a lot to learn but we promise you that singing with a barbershop chorus is lots of fun and the work required is more than outweighed by the sense of satisfaction you'll get from being an equal part of the team.
Obviously, it's a great advantage if you have previous experience of choral singing and the ability to read music and if you are an experienced singer we would love to hear from you. However, we are equally happy to welcome complete novices. All that we require is that you can sing in tune and carry your part.
If you'd like to come and visit us at rehearsal just contact us . It would give you the opportunity to ask questions, listen for a while or even join in with the singing if you'd like to.
